The Rock Collection is Strato’s first series of handcrafted felt rugs, blankets and pads inspired by natural forms and texture. Made slowly by the hands of artist Andreas Sell, the pieces combine traditional felting techniques with  contemporary abstract compositions inspired by stones, movement, and the quiet irregularities found in the landscape from which they emerge - Lesvos, Greece. Each work carries traces of its making, embracing the natural character of the wool and beauty in the non-perfection of handworked felt. Rooted in the traditions of Anatolian felt making, the series reflects a slow and tactile approach to everyday objects.
